Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion

Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion

Price: $10 (At Walmart)

Purpose: Hydrate Acne-Prone/Sensitive Skin

Review: This has been my go to moisturizer for years! It is the only one on the market that does clog my pores and make me break out. When choosing any product for your face it is very important to make sure it says “non-comodegenic” and “hypoallergenic” especially if you have sensitive skin like myself.

This moisturizer is extremely hydrating. It tends to be a BIT on the greasy side, so if I wear this during the day,I only apply a very small drop. At night time however, feel free to slather this stuff on. Your face will be smooth and plump by morning!

The bottle is also huge, so if you use it about twice a day, it should last aroudn 7-8 months!

Suave Vibrant Shine Spray

Suave Vibrant Shine Spray

Price: $2.99 (At Walmart)

Purpose of the product: Provide sheen to the hair.

Review: Suave does it again! When they claim to provide products that are on a professional level, they are not lying! I spray this on my hair whenever I leave it naturally curly, and especially when I flat iron my hair. This leaves your hair looking shinier than those models in the Pantene Pro-V commercials. It never leaves the hair feeling greasy or weighed down. The scent is fabulous as well. I know for many scent is everything. This product works exceptionally well if you shake it before you use it. After you shake it, take a look inside and you will see hundreds of tiny little beads that will end up locking onto your hair making it glisten!

This product is worth more than $3 in my opinion. A little goes a long way as well! I have had this for over 1 year now.

Suave Thermal Spray

Suave Thermal Spray

Price: $2.99 (At Walmart)

Purpose of the product: Protects the hair from heat damage when using a flat iron/curling iron.

Review: While we all want healthy, silky hair, we are all guilty of using our flat irons and curling irons on a weekly, maybe even daily basis! Due to this fact, we NEED protection from the damaging heat these babies provide. It is great when a styling tool can get as hot as the equator, but what is not so hot, is the damage it can do to the hair, mainly the ends.

This product is incredible. I use it ANY time I will be using a hot tool. It leaves the hair feeling soft, silky, shiny and prevents flyaway’s. I like to spray it all over my head and brush the hair so it distributes evenly! It does not leave the hair feeling or looking greasy. Yuck. Nobody wants that!

Maybelline Baby Lips

Maybelline Baby Lips

Price: $2.99 (At Walmart)
Shade: Grape Vine

I had seen these on the market for quite a few months and always doubted their ability to replace my Carmex. I was wrong.

Not only are they extremely moisturizing, but they are extremely pigmented as well. I bought the color “Grape Vine.” It is a beautiful soft purple. Gives you the look of a lip gloss without drying out your lips and being sticky! Definitely worth the $2.99 IMO!

Britney Spears Perfume

Price: $10 (At TJ Max)

Mmm! Soft, airy, light and oh so sweet! Doesn’t smell like your grandmothergrandmother’s perfume that’s for sure. This little guy has a very youthful scent. TJ max has zillions of name brand perfumes for half the price.

Neutrogena On The Spot Acne Treatment

Neutrogena On The Spot Acne Treatment

Price: $5.49 (At Walmart)

It is a week before a big event, you look in the mirror and, Oh No – You have a massive pimple for all to see.

After years and years of trial and error with products that claim to clear up acne, this has been the only one to do it’s job!

It is Benzoyl Peroxide in a dosage of 2.5 percent. BP in dosages of 5 % and 10 % tend to be cheaper, although they can actually be damaging to the skin. I have tried the higher dosages, and they’ve both dried out my skin profusely and caused acne scarring. Again, I have extremely sensitive, acne prone skin, so the higher dosage is a no no for anyone with the like.

This product dries up that bad boy within a few days, leaving behind clear skin.

Tip: Make sure to follow up with a moisturizer, as it can be a little drying for first time users. If you experience any redness/burning do not give up. This is normal! it is doing its job.

Retinol Correxion Sensitive Night Cream

Retinol Correxion Sensitive Night Cream

Price: $22 (At Walmart)

Now, some of you may be thinking, you’re only 26, why are you worrying about crows feet and under eye wrinkles!? You can never be too young to take preventative measures. Remember, prevention is better than a cure.

As part of human imperfection, it is impossible for humans to REVERSE signs of aging completely, but we can slow it down line by line. It makes sense that keeping the under eye hydrated would prevent wrinkles. I like the night time restorative cream, because it is at night time where the body restores, repairs and heals itself!

I bought the one for sensitive skin, because 1) I have sensitive skin and 2) I have never used retinol before, which can be harsh and drying on even the toughest of skin types. This has a smaller dosage of retinol yet is proven to be just as effective as the higher dosage in their other night creams.

Because I have acne prone skin, the idea of applying this all over my face and clogging my pores was a bit daunting. So I use it as an under eye cream. I apply a pea size amount every night using my ring finger. The ring finger is always best because it will apply the least amount of pressure. You don’t want to rub or tug on this very sensitive area, unnecessarily causing future wrinkles.

All in all, this is a great product for $22. You don’t need much so it lasts about 6 months! $44 a year to prevent under eye wrinkles? I think I can deal with that!
